On Thursday January 21, 2010 a six member delegation from the Turks and Caicos Islands Mission of Seventh-day Adventist (TCI Mission) visited Cap-Haitien, Haiti. The purpose of the visit was to show solidarity with the people of Haiti and to help them with much needed supplies.
The six member delegation included: Pastor Peter Kerr: President of the TCI Mission and leader of the delegation, Pastor Derek Bignall: president of West Indies Union, Almartha Thomas: Community Service Director of the TCI Mission, Osias Joseph: First Elder of the Five Cays SDA Church, Hilly Ewing: former member of parliament and Karen Delancy: member of the Consultative Forum of the TCI Government.

The delegation was welcomed by Pastor Seneque Edmond, President of the North Haiti Mission of Seventh-day Adventist. Pastor Edmond reported to the delegation that the Church in North Haiti has been giving tremendous assistance to their fellow Haitians who have fled the devastated capital of Port-au-Prince. Pastor Edmond was presented with much needed supplies and financial assistance from the Adventist Church in the Turks and Caicos. Some of these supplies included: tents, tarpaulins, sleeping bags, blankets, snacks, and water purification tablets which were donated by the Red Cross in Grand Turk.

The Adventist Church in the Turks and Caicos Islands stands in support of the people of Haiti and will continue to do its part to support those who were affected by the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010.
