TCI Mission of SDA Statement on the Earthquake in Haiti
Published: January 13, 2010

The Turks and Caicos Islands Mission of Seventh-day Adventists would like to extend our sympathy to the people of Haiti. The majority of the membership of the TCI Mission consists of Haitians who have relatives in Haiti and we pray for their safety and speedy recovery.
Pastor Peter Kerr, President of the Turks and Caicos Islands mission of Seventh-day Adventist has pledged the assistance of the Community Services Department of the Mission to help in the relief efforts in Haiti. He said in a statement that the "offering collected in our Churches on January 23, 2010 will go towards the Haiti Earthquake Relief effort." He went on to say, "I encourage all our members to give a special offering to help the people of Haiti."
Pastor Kerr urges all of the members of the TCI Mission to pray for the Island nation of Haiti during these critical hours of recovery and relief. A Day of Prayer for the people of Haiti will be held on January 17, 2010 in all Seventh-day Adventist Churches in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
